Job Profile Summary:The Payroll Specialist is responsible for
performing a variety of payroll functions, including processing
multi-state bi-weekly payroll, maintaining payroll system and
employment records, monitoring timeclock system and data, printing
payroll reports, processing garnishments and wage attachments, and
providing support for accounting journal entries aligned with all
fiscal policies, procedures, and processes related to payroll in US
locations. Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to
ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Engages the payroll
function with direct administration of payroll processing and
related reporting with Payroll Supplier(s) and support vendor
relationships and any payroll systems maintenance.DUTIESThe Payroll

- Define and implement all policies, processes, and procedures
related to payroll in US locations.
- Engage in all tasks necessary to accomplish timely and accurate
processing of payroll in coordination with Payroll
Supplier(s).
- Support the administration of payroll processing and related
reporting with the Payroll Supplier(s).
- Provide support, training, and education to staff as needed
regarding payroll, timesheets, etc. This may include responding to
email and phone inquiries, as well as presenting at New Hire
Orientation.
- Assist in the set-up of payroll in new US locations and provide
guidance and expertise as needed.
- Proactively engage in third-party supplier relationships to
ensure quality standards and adherence to contractual agreements
and agreed-upon SLAs.
- Support internal and external payroll audits.
- Assist in the preparation of a variety of payroll related
documents for the purpose of documenting payroll activities and
issues, meeting compliance requirements and providing audit
support.
- Ensure proper maintenance of local payroll information, files
and records in order to provide up-to-date reference, and audit
trails for compliance purposes.
- Research discrepancies of payroll information and/or
documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures.
- Review periodic tax filings with federal, state and local
authorities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll tax
payments.
- Work with Accounting, Finance and Human Resources to ensure the
accuracy of the recording of payroll accounting entries to the
general ledger.
- Assist with reconciliations related to payroll and benefits
inclusive of producing reports that reconcile monthly payroll
deductions, such as garnishments, medical premiums, and 401k.
Ensures compliance with garnishment requirements, based on specific
state and federal regulations.
- Communicate issues or changes related to matters that impact
pay or policy to affected groups.
- Perform ongoing quality assessments of payroll processes and
drive continuous improvement efforts.ADDITIONAL DUTIES

responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of payroll and/or accounting experience required.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year university preferred.OTHER
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of wage and hour laws, payroll tax and federal/state
specific employment and payroll laws.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of payroll, time and attendance
policies, and payroll planning for multiple states.
- Ability to collect and interpret information to enhance the
provision of payroll services, including reporting requirements and
metrics.
- Ability to manage and promote knowledge organization-wide by
using systems/networks to share, record, and capitalize on
knowledge.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Effective listening, communication, interaction, diplomacy,
analytical and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of payroll process design and the ability to identify
areas for process optimization.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively while maintaining
attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Sensitivity to service population's cultural and socioeconomic
characteristics.

- Mandated Reporter.COMPENSATION:$66,910.00 USD - $76,947.00
USDIn accordance with California law, the expected pay range for
this position is included in this posting. The actual compensation
will be determined based on factors permitted by law. New hires
will be offered a salary at the starting point of the range to
maintain internal inequity and allow opportunity for future salary
growth. CII salaries are determined based on comprehensive internal
and external market analysis, as well as the skills, education, and
