Job Description:
A company is looking for an Underwriter (Retail).
Key Responsibilities
Underwrite 2-3 new loans daily while analyzing borrower information
to ensure compliance with investor guidelines
Maintain 24-48 hour turn times and clear UTC conditions within 24
hours
Prepare loans for risk committee and assist in the development of
junior underwriters and processors
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
3-5 years of experience as an Underwriter with complete knowledge
of the mortgage business
Experience with FHA, VA, USDA, and Agency loans
Direct Endorsement (DE) certification is required; LAPP/SAR
preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Experience with Encompass preferred
