We are continuously seeking individuals from various career disciplines that share the University's mission and core values.About the Position:The College of Business and Economics is committed to leading business education through the guiding principles of program quality, balancing theory and practice, and expanding our outreach and visibility. We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Business Advisor (Student Services Professional II). Under the general supervision of the Director of the Business Advising Center, the Advisor provides academic advisement and support to a diverse body of undergraduate students in the College of Business and Economics. Responsibilities will include:

• Providing personal academic advisement to prospective, newly admitted, and continuing undergraduate students.
• Tracking advising appointments, emails, and drop-ins.
• Analyzing the outcomes of various student engagement campaigns.
• Reviewing and filing Titan Degree Audit (TDA) exceptions for approved electives and course substitutions.
• Handling change of major requests and responding to student emails.
• Assisting graduation specialists with conducting degree audits.
• Advising students on academic notice and developing strategies to help them achieve good academic standing.
• Enhancing student retention through collaboration with the advising team.
• Planning and executing student programs and campaigns that foster engagement and success.
• Analyzing retention data to identify trends and propose solutions.
• Supporting the Assistant Director with training initiatives.
• Establishing cooperative working relationships with diverse individuals.Essential Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or the equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public administration, business administration or a job-related field and two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or a related field. A master's degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of professional experience.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
